Yes, and there is no clock on it. The Schonell app is free for every estate and every resident, with no trial period, no expiry and no feature locks. Only the optional Comprehensive plan, powered by Interphone Cloud, is chargeable. It includes hardware and unlimited warranty.
Most condo apps are made by software companies. We make intercoms, and the app is how they are answered. That structural difference shows up in three places. Payments: ours run on PayNow, straight from a resident’s bank into the estate’s own account, with no stored card details, no processor holding your residents’ money, and no transaction fee. Card-based billing adds all three. Hardware: we design the panel, write the firmware and run the cloud, so the intercom and the app are one product from one team in Singapore, not an app bolted onto someone else’s equipment. Price: a company that only sells an app has to charge for the app eventually, because it is the only thing it sells, which is why free there usually means an introductory period that ends. We do not need the app to carry the business, so it never has to.
There is no until. The app has no trial period and no expiry date. It is free for as long as your estate uses it. Estates that came on board in 2015 still pay nothing for the app today, and we’re happy to put that in writing.
No. The free plan installs nothing and runs on the phones residents already own. Hardware only comes with the Comprehensive plan, powered by Schonell Interphone Cloud, and it is fitted by our network of authorised distributors. They inspect your site first, so the quote fits your estate.
Your Management Council or Building Management simply needs to approve the deployment.
Yes. We’re PDPA compliant, host all data in Singapore, and never sell resident data or show ads.

Yes. Payments go directly to your building management, and are reviewed by them. Schonell never holds your funds or charges transaction fees.
Yes. The app can be used on its own or alongside your existing estate systems.
No. Schonell can run alongside your current app for as long as your management wants, and residents can have both installed. There is no cutover date to commit to. One practical note: for anything that keeps records, such as facility bookings, point residents at one system at a time, or you will end up with two sets of bookings for the same BBQ pit.
Yes. The app is free, so there is nothing to wait for and nothing to cancel first. Estates commonly bring residents onto Schonell while their existing agreement runs to its renewal date, then simply stop paying for it. Starting with us does not oblige you to end anything.
No, and we would rather tell you now than at handover. Historical records such as past bookings and payment history stay with your current provider, and your estate starts fresh on Schonell. Most councils export whatever they need for their own records before they move.
No. The app is completely free for residents to download and use.
No. The app is designed to be intuitive, so most residents can start using it immediately.
No. It is the same app, and residents keep their accounts. The Comprehensive features simply switch on, with no second rollout and nothing for residents to do.
